Day 8 of my 13 days
Southern mindanao trip; I have just arrived in Pagadian city from an unforgettable overnight camping in Panikian Island, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur (and i could not stress further how thankful I am from the hospitality of the municiaplity of Pitogo).
As I was told, the trip to Zamboanga city will take 8 hours. Its just noontime, and I will end up wasting the daytlight scratching my ass in the bus. I then looked for possible side trip near pagadian city.
A colleague from the office has once told me about this lakewood resort. I did not really bother look at it in the internet because of my connotation of a "resort". Meantime, i thought checking it out is better than nothing at all.
From Pitogo, i got off in the stop over for RURAL Bus transport before reaching pagadian city; From there, i took the zamboanga bound bus and paid P25 to Tubon. From d junction in tubon, i was told to take a habal to lakewood for P80. I waited for another passenger so I can share (and save half) the ride. It did not take me so long anyway. After a 20 minute ride habal, I am in Alindadaw Lakeview Resort.

With the facilities they have, and the staffing they have, the P50 entrance was a great deal. I also walked into their restaurant, checked out the prices, and thought the P50 banana split would still be fit for a backpacker's budget. Doing a sidetrip here was one of the great decisions made in this trip ;-)

I was going to try the kayaking too, but as always, I find this activity boring. I swam instead, and a little while later, rinsed and left.

On the return trip, i chartered the habal for P80 and an additional P20 for the Junction-Terminal ride (all in all, P100, though if d budget is that strict, the terminal is just probably a 15minute walk from junction).
